SMS
An SMS is a short text message which is sent over the phone to your loved ones and not so loved ones. A text message has a maximum character length of 160. If your text content exceeds this limit, then the next set would be billed differently. Messages are stored to be delivered upto 72 hours in the message center.
When you receive a message, you get a beep or tone. You will see an envelope kind of symbol on the screen of your cell or a message which says, ‘1 message received'. If you are sending a message, you have an option to send to one person or a list of persons. You can create a list of people called the distribution list and send the message. Then there is another way to type an SMS really fast. This is through the ‘dictionary option’. A built in dictionary assumes the word, number and symbols you type based on the sequence and logic of characters and displays it beforehand making the work.
An SMS is a good way of staying in touch with your near and dear ones. Sometimes it so happens that we accidentally send an SMS to someone else. After all it happens because of a click and there is no way you can revert it. So the best way would be to check to whom you are sending the SMS to.
So, if you want to tell your loved way where you are, if you want to share an interesting joke, if you want to show you care, the best way to stay in touch is an SMS.
